Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
So I went out to dinner last night, and I swear the waiter must have drugged me. I didn't sleep last night. I had a huge burst of knitting creativity at about 12:30, and got a great idea for a purse, which I shall hopefully get to work on one of these days. I finished knitting the big bag to be felted soon. It's really quite ugly, but it's just a test run, so that's okay. It's got this big grey stripe towards the top but more black around the top edge because I was going to just make do with the grey, but then I found another ball of black wool (I love when that happens!). It took exactly five balls of yarn, with four inches left over from the last ball. So I hope it turns out well. Another product of my creativity burst last night was some stash depletion: a red cabeled scarf which is going to look exactly like the grey one I just made. I had a random ball of red yarn I'd been meaning to do something with, so that works.
For some reason, I really want to knit a halter top or something like that as my next big thing. Maybe I should do "Leftovers". Oh, I've got a pattern for a "Scarf Halter" that isn't tied, instead the top becomes a scarf to hold it up. It's on big yarn and it's cabeled. Hm. And the best part is it's on circulars so I won't have any finishing to do! Oh man, I just sold myself on that one!

Seaming SUCKS!
I know I hate to seam. So why do I chose to do projects that involve seaming? I mean, sometimes I can do a perfect seam, (I do great hems!) but to get me to seam two pieces of reverse stockinette together and enjoy myself, and that would take a miracle! I decided to knit the Postmodern legwarmers again flat, when I fully remember hating seaming the first pair I made. WHY? Guess what happened? I hated it. Again! So I'm avoiding seaming for a while. And this made me think, maybe I don't want to knit Candy after all. I hate finishing. Maybe I'll knit it in the round or something. I just don't know. At this point, I'm really considering using the yarn I have for that to make a few more felted totes. I'm in love with making those, and I do want to experiment and make a bigger one. Thoughts, anyone?
I finally got some more yarn to finish the Heart scarf (from the Knitty special Breast Caner Awareness Issue) that I started in effing October, and just now got to finish. I'm not sure why it was so hard for me to find Lion Brand Thick and Quick in Cranberry, but it was. And also, why have I never been able to find super chunky yarn in pink? I mean, I never really looked hard, but still. Anyway, I really LOVE this scarf and want to knit a million. It's going to be a staple for gifts I give, I think. It's so quick, and really cute. I want to knit one in black or grey. Hey, I might take those legwarmers out and re-use that yarn to make it. Oh, I'm really thinkin' like a crafty girl now! YES!

Other rant: I went to two craft stores in the last week, and neither of them had size 8 DPNs, or any circulars in a length other than 29". Makes me MAD! I'm getting too spoiled going to the LYS where there is a myriad of needles, but shit, I'm not expecting too much. So I have yarn for a bag I'm dying to knit, that I have to wait to get needles for. This is really the worst! I started Clapotis, with some yarn I had lying around. Not the best yarn (Patons acrylic in white) but it works for now. I like the pattern but I want to see how much I like it before I buy better yarn for it. I have a few things in mind. And I do need a white scarf, so it all works out.

Music survey, etc.
Since I got tagged by Miss Christine, let me just get this out of the way:
1) Total amount of music files on your computer: Not that many, but I think I have twelve hours of music on my playlist. So it's not really that much. Especially considering how many cds I don't have uploaded.
2) The last CD you bought was: Oh, shit, I have no idea. Wait, it was the new Set It Straight CD. Awesome band.
3) What is the song you last listened to before reading this message? I am currently listening to Bastards On Parade - Dropkick Murphys.
4) What are your five favorite songs and why they mean the most to you? Five Favorite, Are you kidding? I listen to way too much music to just pick five. These will just be five random songs I love a lot.
Dropkick Murphys - Upstarts and Broken Hearts (Sweetest song!)
Minor Threat - In My Eyes (I'm egde, what do you expect?)
Unforgiven - HOODS
Uncle Sam - Agnostic Front (For some reason, I just loooooove this song!)
She's Got You - Patsy Cline
5) What 3 people are you going to pass this baton to and why? Who knows. Wouldn't want to ruin the surprise now, would I? No real new knitting news. I've still been too much of a slacker to start a SnB and I need to get going with that. And also, I really want to make yet another felted tote. I'm stuck on those things!
