Vegans!
One of my friends, kind of acquaintences really, asks me to knit him a black beanie and offers me a CAKE in trade. I am stoked beyond belief. I start working on it with some yarn left over from a scarf I knit a couple of years ago. I run out just as I start the decreases for the top. I realize I have some more black yarn leftover from something else. Then it dawns on me: it's wool yarn and he's VEGAN! So much for de-stashing ...
