I've been tagged to do some memes for a while now, and I've been slacking. Here they are!

I think I'm the last knitblogger ever to do this meme, so here are 7 weird/random things about me. I was tagged first by Scarlett and then by Pam.

1. I do not eat vegetables. Ever. Tomato sauce, in limited quantities is okay. Other than that, unless potatoes count, I can't think of anything else.

2.I've only driven a car once. And I almost hit a pole. Driving scares me. (I think I need anti-anxiety meds, really.)

3. I went on maybe 4 dates (ever, with anyone) before I met my current (and only!) boyfriend. We've been together since last March. I love his family, and I think my family likes him more than me!

4. I love Sailor Jerry/tradional style tattoos. I'm planning on getting quite a few (I can't yet because of dance competition and some othe factors). I'm not sure whether I am excited about the current trend of seeing tattoo-style stuff, with skulls and anchors everywhere. I don't know whether I should be happy because I can actually find cool stuff or bummed because a bunch of trendy broads with absolutely no clue are also wearing it.

5. I don't think I have a specific favorite food, band, or color.

6. I am so ticklish that I can't get a proper massage. And I've never had a pedicure because I'm not sure that I could take it.

7. I've never done a real push-up. I have no upper body muscle whatsoever.

And here's my favorite meme in a long while, which Pam tagged me for. Here are five absolutely ludicrous, crazy, and ridiculous FALSEHOODS about me:

1. I love Christian contemporary music. The acoustic guitar just fills me with the Spirit. That rock and roll music is the devil's work.

2. I've dyed my hair 100 times, all different shades of blonde. It just suits me and my bubbly personality so well!

3. I really apply myself to whatever I do. If I do something, I do it 110%. I finish everything I start. I may not be the best at what I do, but I work so hard it doesn't matter. Also, I aspire to greatness.

4. I am totally vegan straight edge. And committed to it.  I hate meat, milk, cheese and especially ice cream. Those poor animals. I won't even be friends with anyone who drinks alcohol. They clearly don't have enough self-respect for me to respect them.

5. I'm a conservative republican, but I never vote. I'm pro-life and I wish men could make all the choices about my body for me! I'm also threatened by "colored" people, and those crazy punk rockers. I wish everyone looked the same, and liked the same things I do.

So there you go. You probably learned something about me. I'm really pretty weird, but I couldn't come up with good stuff for the first one. I mostly just say weird things.

i am sitting at school using the computer. the girl to my left is posting on an anime board on a topic called "polygamy". the girl on my right is sitting in front of the computer reading. i'm sure the people waiting to get on the computer appreciate that great use of space.

 i finished the "Raiders" socks and they've already been worn by the boyfriend. he went fishing with his dad, and at the beginning he got teased with "Did your mommy make you socks?" and then he told everyone they were wool. jealousy ensued. his family has been really into me knitting and asking me to make them stuff. they've also been really appreciative of what i've made them.

I love them! If that had fit my feet I would have kept them. I must make myself some socks in this yarn. I wish I could afford it!

I also finished my knucks! they're awesome, and i'm actually wearing them as i type this. i have not taken them off much since i've finished them. and i realized my dad's birthday is coming up, so he's getting some camo knucks that say "DUCK HUNT"! (he's a hunter.) two nights of knitting and i'm already to the cuff of the first one. also, boyfriend picked out yarn for some of his own. i'm glad i like this pattern!

yarn: LB Lion Wool in Sage. a little thick but super warm. i love this color! the photo on the left is closer to the actual color. this yarn comes in some great colors. i am pining for the grey.

mods: i have man hands, and the fingers didn't fit in the ladies' size. so i did men' fingers and the ladies' thumb, i think.

I will get around to taking a picture that really does them justice. I've wanted to, but it would require makeup and styled hair which has been too much for me lately. Tonight I think I will have to do both, so I'll try to get some pictures done, too.

In other crafting news, I actually played with my knitting machine the other day. (oh MAN! i was just looking at the LB site, meaning to close it, and i found myself on the new Cotton Ease page. my god I love these colors! taupe and stone especially.) anyway, i actually got something done with the knitting machine. even if it is roughly a 4"x4" piece of cotton. i really dislike this thing. however, it occured to me that Clapotis would be perfect for knitting on the machine. so if i can ever really figure out how to work this thing, i'll get the clap too.

When I showered on Saturday. I have showered since then, but not shaved.

Sleeping, of course. Dreaming about moving in with some family with like 5 kids and taking all my clothes over there.

Junior prom was miserable. boring. not worth the $$$ so I stayed home from senior ball. I probably went to a show.

William Frawley, who played Fred Mertz on "I Love Lucy" was my great-grandma's cousin.

yeah, but i forgot to last time. i was going to be super cheezy and write my and boyfriend's name and draw a heart and all that jazz.

What's the most painful dental procedure you've had?
Maybe having my Herbst appliance put in and taken out. That thing sucked. It was to fix my overbite. rather than to pull it forward with rubber bands (it was almost a centimeter overbite) they use this weird appliance to push it forward. bars and such. and it would come undone every once in a while, like during a yawn. or it would get stuck. no wonder i was such a nerd as a kid!

What is out your back door?
patio, complete with four hibiscus plants and a fountain. also, usually a dog or two.

Any plans for Friday night?
partying, of course. my friend Raime's birthday happened to land on Friday the 13th.

Do you like what the ocean does to your hair?
Most of the time, I straighten the shit out of my curly hair so that sort of wind and humidity is a nightmare. When it's not straightened within an inch of its life, it is curled and hairsprayed to death.

Have you ever received one of those big tins of 3 different kinds of popcorn for Christmas?
nope. and hopefully it stays that way.

Have you ever been to a planetarium?
sadly, no. however, from south reno (weird, i know) the stars are amazing. also, in the middle of pennsylvania. (Did I ever tell the story of staying at my mom's uncle's house in the middle of nowhere in PA? I had never been that far away from, uh stuff! It was quite a doozy. Pitch black at night. They have bears and shit. We saw a woodchuck.)

of course. i don't like to do laundry every 2 days.

i had two dreams last night. one about gardening and my old house and backyard. one about moving in with some family, i'm not sure why. i don't think i was going to be their nanny but it wasn't because i didn't have a family or anything. bizarre!

hopefully not, becauuse i had a dream about being unable to stop drooling the other night.

What was the weirdest dream you've ever had?
almost all of my dreams are really weird. like why i would be moving in with some family. a lot of mundane things happen, but their combinations are what makes it weird.
